Are most of the shops close on Monday at Chinatown Bangkok?

Not necessarily, street vendors in Bangkok as many are in Chinatown are prohibited from opening along the sidewalks on Mondays. Most any other day of the week is better for shopping along the street, but stalls and stores are still open on Mondays. Best to go on a day other than Monday.
