How do you deal with jerks at work? i'm new?

I work as a cashier at wenyd's and I rung up an order and I told the sandwich guy to do it and he told me to go do it and to use my imagination when I told him I don't know how to. How do I deal with these a holes at work? I'm new and I told the manager already and she said i'm not supposed to be doing bec. i'm taking orders. I hate being the minority here with a bunch of foreigners especially because I don't understands what their saying most of the time because they speak in spanish.
