System recovery{help}?

I have a 250 hdd and it was just shot with viruses, like 200 trojans so I could do nothing accept run sys recovery. I did this to prserve all my info and pics, after running it partitioned without asking how much space I chose to partition so ot recovered but the recovery is only 10 gig partition leaving me with only 1 gig free how can I transfer more hdd space to this partition? help windows xp media center. thanks
