Why do people love Taylor Swift and hates the Jonas Brothers?

i think one of the big reasons that so many people are in taylor swift's corner now has to do with what happened between her and kayne west at the VMA's.heck,i'm not even a taylor swift fan and i felt bad for her and i know a lot of other people did.she got a tremendous amount of goodwill from the whole thing and it's made her more popular than she already was.
