After how many miles should you get new brakes?

If you do mostly highway your brakes could last a lot longer than 50k. If you drive in the city or are very agressive when braking they might need work after a year or two. Your pads are most likely worn out. Replacing your pads and turning your rotors should be inexpensive if you go to an honest shop.
